Yakima

Yakima (pronounced YAK-EE-MA) first started in 1973, in the township of Yakima, Washington USA. Started by Otto & Jeanne Lagervall when they wanted to go kayaking but had no proper way of transporting the kayaks with their car.

Since then, it has grown and changed hands several times, as well as being joined by other companies like Whispbar and Prorack from New Zealand.

Nowadays, Yakima USA and Yakima Australia operate as sister companies with Yakima USA providing the development front on their cargo and cycling services and Yakima Australia developing and engineering the Off-road elements.

As a Yakima Authorised retailer, Bikeline are thrilled to bring this rich history and vast catalogue of vehicle racks to the people of Queensland!
