Community Support
Bikeline has always supported the local community. Supporting schools, sporting groups, the RSL, general and specific fundraising, cycle advocacy at all levels are all important daily issues to the Bikeline business. Kerry has been heavily involved in the successfull development of the new Criterium Track planned for Toowoomba in 2011.
We believe that at the heart of our professionalism, is our depth of understanding of our local region, and we will continue to maintain our high level of community support into the future.
Just some of the beneficiaries of Bikeline support are:
- East State School
- St Thomas Mores
- Mater Dei
- RSL
- Cancer Council
Our two main annual events are the Anzac Day Centuries (now in their 18th year) in April, and our PINKTOBER. event in October. Pinktober is the brainchild of Bikeline employee Suzanne & Bikeline owner Donnamaree, who put their heads together just after Suzanne's mother died in 2008 from Cancer.
Bikelines strong commitment to Women, both in terms of female staff and our very active female cycling and social programs manifested in the shape of the WOW (Women On Wheels) group, also provided the impetus in our decision to crank up this very worthwhile event.
PINKTOBER supports Women and their families from our local region of who are living with or diagnosed with Cancer. In 2009 our first year we raised $8635.00 and in 2010 our total broke through the $10,000 barrier. Bring on 2011!!!
